Towards a Nationalistic Economy for the People-Article of N.G. Michaloliakos

With usura hath no man a house of good stone
each block cut smooth and well fitting

They have brought whores for Eleusis
Corpses are set to banquet
at behest of usura.

At 594 the lord of Athens, Solon, with the depreciation of the currency managed to relieve the oppressed citizens that had great debts towards the rich classes. That was what Solon did. I the current Greece of memoranda, the governors did the exact opposite. They overvaluated the currency, insisting on the use of euro and in the same time they enslaved our Homeland to the foreign usurers.

In one of his speeches, Demosthenes present an excerpt from the words of Solon, in order to prove the consequences of the actions of few idiot citizens to the Nation. Specifically “the will and the desire of some citizens for money can destroy a great city”. So, we ended in this situation, because of the political parties of the corrupted political system, SYRIZA among them.

Chronicles of a bankruptcy

Before I refer to the bankruptcy of our state, I should mention at first the work of Plutarch, regarding the loans: “Those who owe money are slaves of their usurers. They are slaves of barbarian, hideous and violent slaves…The loan sharks turn the market into a hell to their debtors, eager to devour and massacre them.”

This is the current state of our Homeland. How did we end in the economic destruction of this country? Before the fatal crime of Simitis to include our country to the Eurozone, may other grave mistakes had taken place. In the years of 1996 to 2004, Greece was de-industrialized. Also, the scandal in the stock markets at the years 1998-1999 costed 143 billion euros to the people!

In addition, the political and clientelist regime was evenly responsible for the bankruptcy, since on million Greek men and women started working in the public sector. In the meantime, in the USA of 300.000.000 people, the public employees are fewer than those in Greece of 10.000.000 people. Responsible for this situation are of course the previous governments, New Democracy and PASOK, and equally SYRIZA, that continues the same policy, for political interests of course.

And while this situation led us to the bankruptcy, the governors (G. Papandreou, Samaras, Venizelos, Tsipras) instead of implementing drastic measures, brought the dreary memoranda in Greece.

In the era of memoranda

The claim that the policy of memoranda has been successful is pretty audacious. After eight years under this policy, our country is in worse state than it was at 2010, before the implementation of memoranda. Why did this happen? Because they never implemented the depreciation of the currency, the radical economic changes and the reduction of the expenses in the public sector. Of course, I do not refer to the reduction of expenses for our National Defense, the Health and the Education, but for all those members of political parties that aspire to have a job in the public sector, in order to never truly work.

Unfortunately, this policy could never be implemented, since those who governed had no courage to truly negotiate with the loaners, so hey sacrificed our national economy and our national sovereignty, for the shake of euro. The path they followed was trough the inhuman reduction of salaries and pensions that led in the end our country to the bankruptcy. All of them are responsible and guilty of this pauperization.

The only National Solution

In no case Greece could ever be released by the tyrants-usurers, other than through the confrontation of the public debt with growth rates, since all the austerity measures inevitably lead to the underdevelopment.

Greece is not a poor country, is a wealthy country, however not only in resources, but also in corrupted politicians. The only national solution is the return to the national production! I will present to you two examples regarding the national wealth of this country. The first concerns our agricultural economy. Comparing the agricultural economy among Greece, Holland and Israel, the head director of Eurobank Mr. Iakovos Janaklis, stated that Holland, with 45 million acres of cultivation, has an income of 1700 euros per acre. Also, Israel, with 6 million acres of cultivation, has an income of 1290 euros per acre, while Greece, with 37 million acres of cultivation, has an income of…190 euros per acre!

These data prove that with the exploitation of our land, our country can pay the public debt in few years. But is not only about the national agricultural economy. We may see the recent inquiries regarding the resources of Greece in petroleum and gas.

PETROLEUM: According to an inquiry of the Commission of Energy of the Academy in Athens, under the title “Energy prospects of Greece’, singed by Dr. Elias Konofagos “it is possible the production of 19, 5 billion barrels of petroleum, with the cost of 55 dollars per barrel.” Source, REAL NEWS.

GAS: According to the president of the Greek Company of Exploitation of Hydrocarbons, Giannis Basias: “In Greece the resources regarding natural gas may reach 4 trillion of cubic meters. The possible incomes from these resources could reach the 600 billion euros in 25 years.” Source- Med Petroleum Summit

As you have read above, only from petroleum and natural gas, Greece can pay 5 times back the public debt! So, they lies have to come to an end. Greece has a great and creative people and is a wealthy country, able to flourish, by returning to the national production, without the presence of incompetent and corrupted politicians.
