The Albanian propaganda, the Greeks Arvanites and the “Field of Greeks” at Sicily-Article of N.G. Michaloliakos

THE TWO-HEADED EAGLE, SKANDERBEG AND THE ALBANIANS

Those who barely know the History of the Nations of the Aimos Peninsula, meaning the Balkans, know very well that the two-headed eagle is a symbol of the Byzantine Empire of the Greeks from the city of the emperors that arrived to Moscow and became the symbol of their Empire.

So, the use of this symbol from the Albanians honestly constitutes an irony of the History. Well another irony of the History is the fact that they consider as their national hero Skanderbeg, who is no other that the Greek warlord Georgios Kastriotis!

Georgios Kastriotis was sent as a hostage to the Ottomans, where he excelled in his military career and he was given by the Turks the name “ Iskander Bey” which means “Lord Alexander”, a fact that also confirms his Greek origin. In addition, Scanderbeg was writing the formal letter in the Greek language and he was signing as the prince of Epirus. In other words, their History and their symbols belong to us.

ALBANIANS AND THE GREEKS ARVANITES

In the dark plans of the Albanian chauvinists is included the propaganda that the Greeks Arvanites are Albanians. Is the other way around. Arvanites are pure Greeks and on the contrary a large part of the current Albanians has Greek origin. The birth of the nation of Albanians was the result of the anti-Hellenic policy of Catholicism and Austria-Hungary, who did not aspire the accession of the southern part of current Albania, meaning of the Northern Epirus to the Greek Nation. They were the ones who created for them the alphabet and they were the ones who turned their dialect into a language. As for the Arvanites warlords of 1821 they had nothing to do with Albania and the same goes for Theodoros Kolokotronis who was a pure Greek.

A GREAT PROOF FOR THE GREEK ORIGIN OF ARVANITES: MUSSOLINI RENAMED AT 1939 THE REGION OF SICILY PIANA DEI GRECI TO PIANA DEGLI ALBANESI!

For those who do not know, the last defenders of Peloponnese against the Turkish invasion after the Fall of Constantinople were the Greek Arvanites of Peloponnese, who were forced to a massive migration to a region of Sicily, which was named Piana dei Greci, which means “Field of the Greeks”. For 500 whole years the Greek Arvanites of Sicily where calling and characterized themselves Graeci, meaning Greeks and only at 1939 with the order of Mussolini regime this region was renamed “Field of Albanians”! A significant fact is the following popular song of the residents of the area, who do not forget that their homeland is Morias, Peloponnese:

“Beautiful Moreas,
Since I left you,
I have never seen you again,

There lies my father,
There lies my mother,
There lies my brother.

Beautiful Moreas
Since I left you,
I have never seen you again.”
