May 2012-May 2018: “Falling to kneels? I prefer death!” Article of N.G. Michaloliakos
Article of the Secretary General of Golden Dawn, Nikolaos Michaloliakos, in the national newspaper “Empros”
It was May of 2012 when the rotten political system mourned for the entry of GOLDEN DAWN in the Greek Parliament. Wrath, desperation, depression in the political establishment.
However people had spoken…and they though that with calumniations they would stop GOLDEN DAWN! Others thought that we will turn to “good kids” and there would be a “happy end”.
In his last poem, the patriot and poet Aristoteles Valaoritis describes a scene where a persecuted warrior meets a former warrior, who tell him to leave this life behind and become a peasant. And the warriors accepts. And the dreary lyrics follow: “so his abandoned the way of the warrior and his fiery dreams to become a plowman…”
They expected from us to be “plowmen, peasants” to abandon our fiery dreams of a new Greece, of the National Vision, of GOLDEN DAWN! Well, in vain. May of 2012, May of 2018.
Six years filled with agonies, sorrow, injustice, but also with Brave Lads who raised the banner of Honor, the Flag for Faith and Homeland, against the tyranny of corrupted, against a degenerated political establishment which sells off our Homeland just for profits.
Six years, a moment, in a blink of the eye, passes the Holy Blood of our Comrades at Heraklion Street, the imprisonment for more than 500 days, a fake trial.
While the system demand our kneeling. Let us return to the poem of Valaoritis, in a scene where a foreign master demand from an old warrior to kneel. The old warrior replies: “falling to kneels? I prefer death!” Well, this is our answer and our irreconcilable stance all these six years.
Yet we may did not kneel, however the people kneeled due to the poverty, the depression, the loss of their dreams. However nothing lasts forever and the time of thousands of Comrades raising the Greek Flag and the Nationalistic Banner will come again!
